Personal Reflection

In the LSEC 307 course I learned a lot of useful things which will help me in my future carrier, like how to manage meeting and coordinating it, how to answer the questions politely in the interview and how to write the perfect CV to suite the job that you are applying for. It was very simple and professional at the same time.

One of the main things that stuck in my head is the steps before and during the interview, like dressing well, coming before the time, prepare well and sure answering all the questions. Furthermore, I learned from meeting part how to manage a group of professionals, manage the meeting, share the others ideas and discuss each on and making recommendations. The presentation part taught me a lot of things which was missing from me like, pointing the voice volume, introduction questions and how to attract to audience attention.

To sum up, this course was very useful for me; it helped me in many ways directly to my job and indirectly in my social life. But, the time of giving the course to the students was not perfect and it is need to be increased because I think it can give the students more things which can be useful for them if they want to apply for jobs after or while they are studying. I'm looking forward to going deep on the presentation part in the next semester because I think I need more practice.

Meeting Report

This meeting was on the 26th October and it had one objective to be discussed. Our objective was the social website. We choose many social website and make survey to know which website those students use it.


All participants agreed to make a survey between students before the starting choose the best web site, and that responsibility was given to Mr. Ahmed to inform the survey. Mr. Ahmed shows the results for survey and he found the most popular website for student is the facebook. We decided to have special collage page on the facebook website for students with same design, and that responsibility was given to Mr. Ali to inform the IT department to do this application on the college website.



This meeting started with good venue preparation at the time was planned. The chairman started with a description of the agenda objectives and during the meeting all participants were discussed, listening to each other, writing down notes, giving recommendations and not interpreting each other.

(A)                       Introduction of meeting:
·        The chairman welcomed me Ahmed Al Mosai to the meeting and introduced the agenda's topics and objectives.

(B)                        Improve  commutations ways with students :
·        Discussion
We discussed how we can use social website to serve collage students and how we can link between collage and that web site. Many students use that web site so we try to communicate with student by that web site. We had different options and ideas to choose the best website for us and for students.
·         Conclusions

Decision made to have a survey between students to know which sites they prefer. (facebook, twitter, netlog,….). After studying the surveys we found the most popular website for student is the facebook. So we will report the suggestion and the survey for ADMC manager Mr. Ahmed Tabar.

(C)                       Closing and recommendations
The chairman summarized all the final decisions that we decide for agenda's topic, and ensure that responsibilities have been assigned.
List of recommendations:
1.      Give the IT Department the responsibility to update the news of ADMC in the website.
2.      Report the survey and the suggestion to Mr. Tabara.
3.      We'll try to get the agreement from the ADMC manager as soon as possible and we will decide with him the responsibility of people who consider about developing the communication between students and ADMC.
-        Next meeting will be on the 1st of November 2011.
-        Next meeting agenda will be sent on the 29th of October 2011.
-        Time and location of next meeting will be provided with the agenda.
